The alluring village of Alderley Edge in Cheshire

The village of Alderley Edge lies at the foot of a wooded sandstone ridge, which overlooks the Cheshire Plain offering impressive views as far as the Peak District on a clear day.

The area is now managed by the National Trust and a network of pleasant paths provide some fantastic walks and recreation opportunities.

Lying beneath the sandstone escarpment is an underground network of caverns and disused mines from an age when copper mining was an integral part of the local economy.

Alderley Edge has long had associations with wizards and witches and is shrouded in myth and legend. Those include the mysterious tales of Merlin the Wizard and reputedly, King Arthur and his men are said to have slept somewhere beneath the sandstone cliffs waiting to defend the country in it’s hour of need. Our apartments take inspiration and names from these loacl legends and features.

Today the village is considered to be one of Cheshire’s most desirable places to live offering a fabulous range of shops, cafes, restaurants and trendy bars alongside the more traditional bakers, butchers and deli’s. Famed for being home to the rich and famous, this vibrant village offers a very enjoyable lifestyle. The town of Wilmslow is also adjacent where more local interest is to be found including an assortment of bars, cafes and restaurants.
